Membership
If you are interested in becoming a member, we suggest you attend our events throughout the year and get to know some members. Also, in late May or early June we hold the YCHDOA Memorial Run to remember our members who have passed. The run ends at our clubhouse with an open house which provides a good opportunity to visit the grounds, talk with members and learn more of what we do. Our membership is limited and at present the association has a waiting list of riders who want to join. That list is considered every February. Our bylaws state that prospective members must be either involved in the motorcycle business, own a motorcycle, or are a motorcycle enthusiast. Membership is not limited to Harley Davidson owners, but most members do own a Harley. Prospective members must be nominated for membership by two members in good standing who can vouch that the nominee would be an asset to our organization. Once a prospective member is placed on the waiting list they may attend meetings as a guest of their sponsor.
York County Harley Davidson Owner’s Association is a 501(c3) charitable corporation; therefore members become shareholders in the corporation and are required to acquire points by attending meetings, serving on committees and doing work at the clubhouse or at events in order to maintain their membership. All members participate in voting on association business and all officers are elected semi-annually.
